Art + Nature = Beautiful Jewelry 08/21/2009
I saw this bracelet on TheCoolist.com and am in in love. Not only does it look fascinating, it's based on structures found in nature. This particular bracelet is modeled after radiolarians (translation: irregularly shaped one celled organisms with a cool skeleton made out of minerals [Thank you, wikipedia!]). ![]() Algae inspired necklace from n-e-r-v-o-u-s.com I hopped on over to n-e-r-v-o-u-s.com to check out what other goodies they have, and they have plenty! In addition to their radiolaria inspired bracelets, they also have rings, brooches, earrings, and necklaces inspired by algae, the cell cycle, dendrites, and lamina. I love incorporating knowledge from other fields into my art, so I absolutely adore these little gems. All photographs from n-e-r-v-o-u-s.com.
