Big news--the New York Times just ran an article about recent Agent Orange research. I was incredibly excited to see this article, as I just self-published a book about third generation children in Vietnam who are affected by Agent Orange, and hope to raise awareness regarding all of the victims who were exposed to Agent Orange.

To summarize the research and the NY Times article:
At the time of the 2006 update, the relationship between Agent Orange and ischemic heart disease was labeled as "Inadequate or Insufficent Evidence to Determine Association." In the current 2008 report, the relationship has been redetermined as "Limited or Suggestive Evidence of Association."

At the time of the 2006 update, the relationship between Agent Orange and Parkinson's was also labeled as "Inadequate or Insufficent Evidence to Determine Association." In the current 2008 report, the relationship has also been redetermined as "Limited or Suggestive Evidence of Association."

These changes in categorization may lead to more Agent Orange victims receiving the benefits to which they are entitled, and of which they need.
